Mandatory Tanzania Inbound Travel Insurance

Foreign visitors entering Mainland Tanzania on or after October 1, 2026, are required to have Inbound Travel Insurance through Tanzania’s National Insurance Corporation (NIC).

• Includes: Emergency medical treatment, evacuation, repatriation, and loss of luggage, subject to policy terms and limits
• Children 3–17: 50% discount (Infants: Free)

Before you depart

Purchase your policy through the NIC Inbound Travel Insurance Portal and keep your certificate available electronically or in print for arrival. If you purchase before your trip, please send your policy details to your Trip Manager.

Visiting Zanzibar First? If your trip begins in Zanzibar, purchase your policy through the Zanzibar Inbound Travel Insurance Portal. This policy will also cover your visit to mainland Tanzania. If you enter mainland Tanzania first, you do not need a separate Zanzibar policy. Please keep your NIC certificate available for verification.
